Manchester and Climate Change: Local Election Candidates Debate

Climate Change isn’t just a global issue, it’s something we can act on right here in Manchester. How effective are our local politicians at showing leadership and taking action on environmental issues? This debate allows the public to ask difficult questions and hold these local council candidates to account.

On Thursday 24th April at 7.30pm, and hosted by Manchester Climate Forum, candidates for the local elections to Manchester City Council on May 1st will be having a debate on climate change and Manchester, and what they will do. Taking part will be:

Steven Durrant (Green)
Neil Swannick (Labour)
Graham Shaw (Lib Dem)
Faraz Bhatti (Conservative)

Local elections are on May 1st and this issue needs local action if we’re going to actually make the changes needed, so come and hear what options you’ve got to vote for the changes needed…

Chairing the debate will be Phil Korbel, Director of Radio Regen (http://www.radioregen.org/).
